Therapy in London & Kent:
Freedom to be yourself.
Confidence-centred therapy with Joel Bild
BACP Registered Integrative Therapist

In-person therapy in Clapham & Tonbridge | Online & outdoor sessions
I offer in-person therapy in Clapham and Tonbridge, as well as online and outdoor therapy.

People come to therapy for many reasons — anxiety or low mood, loss, relationship difficulties, feeling stuck in familiar patterns, or a sense of disconnection from themselves.

Often, these experiences affect confidence, self-trust and the freedom to be oneself. Therapy offers a space to slow down, reflect, and begin to understand how your experiences have shaped you — and how things might change.

How I can help
I work with adults experiencing difficulties with confidence and self-esteem, often alongside anxiety, depression, bereavement and loss, stress, anger, eating difficulties, and trauma or PTSD.

I also have extensive experience supporting people with relationship difficulties, patterns of codependency*, and addictions, including within 12-step recovery contexts.
*Codependency refers to becoming overly focused on others’ needs at the expense of your own wellbeing, often linking self-worth to others’ approval.

Meet Joel
I’ve spent over 25 years working in education and training, supporting people to grow, learn and develop. That same commitment underpins my therapy work today.

My style is relaxed, warm and collaborative. I aim to offer a space where you can speak openly, feel heard, and explore what matters to you at a pace that feels safe.

Empathy, honesty and respect are at the heart of my work. There’s no one-size-fits-all approach — we’ll work together to find what feels most helpful for you.
My approach
As an integrative therapist, I draw on a range of approaches to suit your individual needs, preferences and capacity. This might include:
-
mindfulness and grounding practices
-
exploring early relationships and formative experiences (psychodynamic)
-
noticing present-day patterns of thought and behaviour (cognitive-behavioural)
-
creative methods such as imagery, visualisation, or drawing
What to expect
In our first session, we’ll talk through what’s brought you to therapy, what you hope for, and what feels most important right now.

Over time, therapy can help you recognise unhelpful patterns, develop greater self-awareness, and feel more at ease with yourself and in your relationships. Many people find they build emotional resilience, strengthen self-trust and confidence, and experience a deeper sense of connection and wellbeing.
A safe space
Whatever you’re facing, I offer a confidential, non-judgmental space where you can bring parts of yourself that may not feel easy to share elsewhere.
